I am a manufacturer and seller of musical instruments (and others) that I handcraft. I specialize in creating traditional African instruments: mbiras, karimbas, kalimbas, and djembe drums, as well as stringed instruments: xalam, ngoni, and kora.

My adventure with instrument building began a long time ago. Various situations led me to increasingly frequent places where music was present, a wide variety of music, both ethnic and modern. While in many different places and at various festivals, I encountered musicians and excellent music, and this certainly influenced my later passion for creating and playing instruments. Even then, I saw how a musician passionately playing an instrument with excellent sound could unleash enormous energy around them. I knew, and still do, that an instrument must have that special something. Over the years, my fascination with Africa—its culture, instruments, music, and rhythm—inspired me to delve deeper and deeper into its depths, revealing ever greater possibilities. As I built and played more instruments, I gained experience and knowledge of the secrets of musical instrument making. The guidance of many musicians and artists was and remains very helpful, for which I am grateful. As an instrument maker, I emphasize sound quality and durability, so that instruments can last a long time and maintain their technical parameters. In instrument production, I use traditional solutions, as well as new ones. Each instrument is treated individually; all its components are carefully selected, matched, and handcrafted. Thanks to professional craftsmanship, the instruments have a beautiful sound. This is what has a decisive impact on value and makes the purchase of my instruments a long-term investment. The finished work results in a musical instrument on which you can create beautiful melodies. I recommend the instruments produced at the Pracownia Promyk to everyone, both enthusiasts and professional musicians. I invite anyone enchanted by the sounds of my instruments to visit my website, which contains information and photos of many instruments. The Studio also creates custom-made instruments. All these advantages make the instruments made at the Promyk Studio unique, often one-of-a-kind.
